Installation & Maintenance

Installation of the Vidir Hospital Bed Lift Stackers

When it comes to installation of the Vidir Hospital Bedlift Stackers there are a series of events that occur to make it happen! Our partner Vidir, manufacture the bedlifts to order to ensure the clients individual needs are met. Once manufactured, shipping from Canada to the required port whether that be in the UK, Ireland or Europe is arranged. Medescon Ltd oversee the shipping to ensure a seamless journey from port to the hospital.

We use a trusted “Lift & Shift” company who are experienced in dealing with such loads who off load the bedlifts from the truck and manoeuvre using specialist equipment into the designated bed storeroom ready for installation. A site visit is always organised beforehand as sometimes the route to the bedstore can be tricky and planning for all eventualities is essential!

Medescon & our engineers work alongside the hospital trust to ensure that the installation of the hospital bedlift stackers is smooth and does not disrupt the normal working day of the hospital and their staff. We use our trained engineers who know the product inside and out. Installation usually takes one and a half days for two engineers to install a three high bedlift. Installation dates and time are discussed with the Trust and planned well in advance.

Once the bedlifts are installed they are commissioned by our service engineer and all reports are signed off by our engineers and our onsite contact.

Training

We deliver training to relevant staff to ensure that the bedlifts are used in accordance to the manufacturers instructions. The system which works on a “last in first out” system, is so simple to use, literally a push button operation. Certification is received after delivery of training and refresher training can be organised upon request.
